19th August 2008

Bluebird Appoint Regional Sales Manager

Bluebird are pleased to announce the appointment of Thom Bateman as Regional Sales Manager for Scotland and North of England, Thom brings with him a wealth of experience from his 12 years of accessible vehicle experience, having previously worked on both sides of the industry, in Fleet Management for local government and in Sales Management and tendering for a number of vehicle converters.
Bluebird have already sold vehicles throughout Scotland, from the borders to the isles, and the appointment of Thom is a further commitment to supporting those customers, and servicing the increasing demand in the region for Low Floor accessible vehicles and high quality conversions.

Bluebird Vehicles Ltd also design, manufacture and supply specialist Low Floor Vehicles for use in a variety of applications, such as mobile libraries, health screening units, community services etc. Thom says “These have a particular relevance in Scotland due to the remoteness of many smaller communities and the economic advantage of being able to service a large number of communities with a single mobile facility.”

Bluebird Managing Director, Rob Miller, added “We are sure that Thom will be a valuable addition to our company. Based in Greenock, he is well positioned to service the region for us, and has got off to a flying start, already bringing new customers to us through his existing network of contacts.”
